Restore Strength, Function, and Missing Teeth

A crown and a bridge solve two different dental problems, but both are designed to restore function and protect the smile. A crown covers and strengthens a damaged tooth, while a bridge fills the space left by one or more missing teeth.

At Charm Dental Care Humble, we provide dental crowns & bridges in Humble, TX after evaluating the condition of your teeth, gums, bite, and existing dental work.

The right option depends on whether the goal is to rebuild a weakened tooth or replace a gap with support from nearby teeth.

Before treatment begins, our team explains how each restoration works, what your tooth needs, and which option may provide the best balance of strength, comfort, and appearance.

FAQs – Crowns & Bridges in Humble, TX

A crown covers and restores an individual tooth, while a bridge is designed to replace one or more missing teeth using support from neighboring teeth or other appropriate structures.

A crown may be recommended when too much tooth structure has been lost for a filling to provide adequate support. Your dentist will evaluate the amount and location of damage.

In some cases, yes. The number of teeth a bridge can replace depends on the location of the gap and the strength of the available supporting teeth.

No, many teeth receive crowns without root canal therapy. Root canal treatment is only needed when the pulp inside the tooth is infected or significantly inflamed.

They can function for many years, but longevity depends on oral hygiene, bite forces, the condition of supporting teeth, and regular dental care.

A traditional fixed bridge is not removed at home. Special flossing tools or interdental cleaners may be recommended to clean beneath it.

Avoid chewing heavily on the tooth and contact your dentist. The crown and underlying tooth should be examined to determine whether the restoration can be recemented or needs replacement.

Yes, natural tooth structure around the margins of a restoration can still develop decay, which is why daily cleaning and regular dental examinations remain important.

A new restoration may feel slightly unfamiliar at first, but it should fit comfortably with your bite. Contact the office if it continues to feel unusually high or uncomfortable.

No, depending on your oral health and goals, dental implants and removable options may also be considered. Your dentist can help compare the available choices. Call Charm Dental Care Humble at 281-973-4767

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crazy how I came in for a chipped tooth and ended up leaving with my perfect smile. 😊 Dr. Mehta took the time to educate me every step of the way, and Dr. Brar made my SureSmile journey so easy. April, Sushi, and the entire staff are one big dream team! They’re the sweetest and always made me feel so welcome. I’m honestly a little sad my ortho journey is ending after seeing them every two weeks for the past two years. Now I’ll only be on the schedule every six months for cleanings. 🥹 They didn’t just give me a beautiful smile. Charm Dental gave me confidence. Every time I look in the mirror, I’m so thankful I trusted their treatment recommendations. Growing up without dental insurance or regular dental care, I was always asked why I never smiled with my teeth. Now I’m proud to.
Response from the owner:We really appreciate you choosing our location and are over the moon to hear you think we're the best! 😊 If there's anything else we can do for you, just let us know. Hope to welcome you back soon!
